The Alamo is great when you have a really small team or are just looking to get through the level quickly. It's also located in an area easy to protect, and near great scavenging sites. It's nice having a watch tower pre-built too. The watch tower can't be upgraded, but that's pretty minimal, and having a built-in library is ok. If you set up your outposts right, you can reduce most of your daily usage amounts to make it easy to survive (if not make it sustainable).įor similar reasons as above: you get 6 outposts, enough space to build what is necessary, and the pre-builts aren't necessarily bad.

It doesn't take long to stock up on all the supplies to keep your group happy. There's numerous warehouses to give you construction supplies, at least 2 nearby gun locations, and tons of houses that have everything else. It's located near great scavenging areas. This means you can build whatever you want and take care of a larger population. In addition to the watch tower (which can be upgraded), you have 5 spots to build in- 1 indoor, and 4 outdoors. It has no bad pre-built facilities (ex: Kirkman's has a regular workshop that can't be upgraded-so that's essentially a waste of a spot, Fairfield has a built in dining area-which most players find useless, etc.) The pre-built are actually pretty good: a full machine shop, so your cars can get repaired right away, and an upgraded storage area, allowing you to store more, preserve food, and convert food to fuel (after research). it has 8 outposts which can protect the entire west side of Marshall, helping ensure the safety of your base and survivors.
